Mercenary
Though the term Mercenary typically evokes images of military or paramilitary forces, a mercenary can be any person exchanging his skills for money. These individuals typically prefer to work outside of the confines of bureaucracy, they seek to make their living on their own terms, and by their own rules. Like the Technician, the skill sets of the Mercenary is varied and will depend on the nature of the work performed by the mercenary.
Common types of mercenaries include Private Investigators, Guns For Hire, Pilots, and Drivers, among others. Often, mercenaries will have past military or law enforcement training and expertise, which depending on their reasons for the change of profession could be either a benefit or a detriment to their current activities.
The mercenary is typically most comfortable working alone, or with a small group of associates. Most mercenaries have selected the mercenary lifestyle because it offers them a certain level of freedom and autonomy.
