Character Creation

Step 1 Class Selection

The first step in character creation is to select a class. Class will determine how your skill points are distributed, and so it is important that you select a class that reflects the type of character you want to play. For instance if you want to play a charismatic character type, you would not be best served selecting an Army Infantryman, as their points are allotted more to physical and combat skills. Classes are broken into archetypes based on their area of expertise. The available archetypes are:

Law Enforcement, Military, Intellectual, Rogue, Technical, Applied Psychokinesis, Mercenary

You can find additional information about each archetype and its constituent classes by clicking on the links above. Each archetype has a number of classes available within it, selecting a class will determine your skill point distribution and skill specialization, as well as the amount of money available to you to purchase equipment, and determine cash on hand for game play. If a class does not fit exactly what you wanted, don't be too concerned, later on you will be able to purchase Background Skills that can help to fill in gaps you might find in the available skill pools for any given class.

Each class section receives a section specialization which is explained at the end of the class section description. This specialization applies a +1 success to the indicated skills.

Additionally, each class has its own specialization which applies a +1 to Crit, Success, and Fumble to the indicated skill.

Both the section and class specialization are free to the character and do not need to be purchased using skill points.
