Hit Points (HP) are an indication of the overall health of your character. A character who has his HP at maximum is considered to be healthy and free of damage. As a character takes damage, his hitpoints will decrease. If a character's hit points ultimately reach zero, that character is considered to be dead.
Your character has two sets of Hit Points, Wounded Hit Points, and Normal Hit Points. When taking damage, your character takes damage first to Normal Hit Points until they are depleted, once that occurs additional damage is taken from Wounded Hit Points. When a character is losing Wounded Hit Points, he is considered to be wounded, he takes modifiers to all actions, and any damage taken forces him to make Constitution rolls to determine if he remains conscious. When Wounded Hit Points are depleted a character is dead.
To determine the number of hitpoints a character has, first determine the Hit Point Value using the formula: Con * 2 + Str. The Hit Point Value is used in conjunction with the following chart to determine total Wounded and Normal Hit Points:
Hit Point Value | Wounded Hit Points | Normal hit Points |
3 | 14 | 18 |
4 - 10 | 30 | 40 |
11 - 20 | 40 | 50 |
21 - 30 | 50 | 60 |
31 - 40 | 60 | 70 |
41 - 50 | 70 | 80 + Coor |
51 - 55 | 90 + Will | 100 + Coor |
